Our research subsidiary has accomplished 140-odd scientific research achievements in the fields of pharmaceuticals, rubber adjuvant, chemicals used on highways, special paints, spice, high-carbon binary acid and relevant downstream products, as well as new processes and new materials of organic synthesis etc., nearly 40 of which have won international or domestic prizes. Our products such as pharmaceutical intermediates, rubber adjuvant, antistripping agents for asphalt, special paint, defoaming agent, and binding agent for cars have been well sold all over China, enjoying good reputation. With experience accumulated over dozen of years, we also have undertaken the evaluation of the environment influence in petrochemical industry and the quality test of organic chemical products, as well as the construction of other projects such as the heat preservation project.

Our design subsidiary has been manly engaged in the various businesses of project consultations, project cost estimation, project evaluation and analysis, project supervision and contractual operation of projects and has formed unique technical features in the fields of chemicals, deep processing of corns and soybeans, diatomite, and the centralized heat supply. It has undertaken over 100 large- and medium-sized projects of state or regional levels. Moreover, we have conducted the cooperative design and supporting project design for 30-odd projects. Since 1985, our country has begun to evaluate designs with prizes issued, and thereafter about 35 projects have been awarded with the Prize for Excellent Designs of ministry level or provincial level.

Our academy has made considerable contribution to the development and technical progress of national economy on the basis of our first-class service. Hence we have been awarded many honors and appointed as key provincial laboratory, key provincial research institution etc.
